Natashquan to... Natashquan!

| Yes, we are still here in Natashquan for another night as the Bella (our ferry to Blanc Sablon) is delayed until tomorrow! At least we still have our room at Auberge la Cache and breakfast before we leave. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This the Auberge la Cache - which translates to the hiding place, but it doesn't look very hidden to us! The little bear was very happy to see us anyway. With the extra night we had dinner here as well and enjoyed a chat with the hostess and another guest who was from New Brunswick so we got lots of tips on where to go over the next few weeks | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hild got herself set up nicely for her 7 am meeting (after breakfast) and then when it was over about 9 we went for a walk through Natashquan. It isn't very big - the whole walk was just 8.8 km - but there was quite a bit to see and once we were away from the beach it wasn't too windy. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is the Bella Desgagnés which we will be sailing on tomorrow and this is the dock in Natashquan this morning. If the weather in bad Bella might not stop here, so we are going to drive to Kegashka to make sure we get on board (as advised by the ferry company). This is how Mary Jane will get on board though - in her own container! We haven't told her yet as I don't think she is too keen on the idea.... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Neither of these are pictures from Hild's meeting this morning. Although she does seem to have got the rapt attention of the stray dogs, the empty crab shells were just sleeping through the whole thing I think. We are not sure if the crab shells were natural or garbage from a beach party, but they were surprisingly intact and there were quite a few of these shells on the beach. As for the dogs, we thouht they were from the house nearby so we said hello and it was only when we asked someone on te street that we found out they were strays. They followed us all through town and we were worried they would try to get on the boat with us, but they got bored when we didn't produce any treats and wandered off. These guys were very well-behaved for strays, but we were told that there was a problem with stray dogs in town. Such a shame. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
