Valle to Stavanger - not to Aberdeen! Drove 166 km in 2:53 hours with an average speed of 57.2. Max altitude 1,058.

| We said goodbye to Janet and Adelheid before setting off across the mountain to Stavanger. Little did we know that our flight would be cancelled an hour before takeoff. So we're stuck at Quality Hotel in Stavanger waiting for 24 hours to get another flight. Ugh. At least we were quick to get in line for free hotel, taxi, and food from SAS. Other than the inconvenience of cancellng the flight due ot technical difficulties, it isn't that bad. We're in a hotel in Stavanger in stead of in Aberdeen. Percy must be worried that we didn't show up to retrieve him at the agreed time, but he'll recover from the shock. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We stopped half-way to Stavanger at Byrkjedal for a quick look in the shop, and also enjoy a prawn salad and a chicken/bacon salad. The lady was very helpful and also brought us a few slices of bread. She seemed surprised, so we are guessing that bread is no longer an important part of the Norwegian diet. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We parked the hire car in the parking garage and dropped the keys in a big box for said purpose. Hild was a bit worried, but they seem to have found the key. The check-in and bag-drop at Stavanger airport went well. Soon we found ourselves through security and enjoying a pizza with smoked meat and solo. Later on we had raisin buns and a cup of tea - again! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

- Your table in the restaurant has cinnamon and sugar (not just salt and pepper) since we will order waffles and rømmegrøt (porridge) all the time. - There is birdsong in the bathroom! |
