Olav and Janet's "bit of the web"
Janet and Olav travelling the USA
Janet and Olav in 1998

In August and September 1998 Janet and Olav took a vacation in the USA. Their goal was Denver to visit
Ann Kristin and Alvaro.
From the left:
* The helped around the garden parts of the time. In the photo the project was constructing a fountain.
* But they also had some time for relaxation with good food and company in the garden.

They travelled around and saw a lot of beautiful places and exciting things. The photos show when they climbed around in the famous Indian city of Mesa Verde. It was very hot.
From the left:
* Olav and Janet pose for a photo in front of the impressive buildings built into the mountain side.
* Alvaro and Kristin watching Janet climbing down the ladder into the lower reaches (or did she actually do it?).

From the left:
* Her they are at Independence Pass high high above sea level.
* Right at the Colorado border, the bridge at Independence Pass.
* In Leadville - an old Wild West town.

From the left:
* Janet and Olav in Royal Gorge.
* Kristin and Janet and the steam locomotive at Royal Gorge.
* There is always time for ice-cream in the evening!

Olav travelling the USA in 2002
|
I January-February 2002 Olav had another USA vacation. He was back in Denver with Alvaro
and Kristin. In this photo he asks Alvaro:"May I help you?".
In reality they were helping Kristin clean out her office at Western Summit.

Relaxing at home: Alvaro, Kristin and the dogs (Moses, Sheba and Tigger) when
Olav was visiting.

When they weren't relaxing at home or building shelves for the house, Alvaro and Olav
drove around dreaming about a camping holiday. Here is one of the campers dei are
wishing for!

Olav visiting Rob and Hild in Ithaca, New York, USA in February 2002
Here they are in the Commons, which is the pedestrian area in Ithaca.
It was a cold and wet day.
|
|
Olav also got a trip to Niagara Falls in the USA in February. Here he took
a photo and Kristin, Rob and Hild got in the way - blocking the fantastic view!
Also that day it was cold and it didn't help with the constant spray from the huge
waterfalls on the border between the USA and Canada.
