Anniversary Dinner
Bjørnar was in charge of napkin folding. Very posh with two colours and exact folding and even pressing
the napkins between magazines for optimal result!
While eating we played a game of home-made family bingo (a la Rob and Hild). We got quite a few laughs out of it - remembering places we have been
and things we have done. Kristin won by getting "bingo" first, although Hild had not organized any prizes so we just kept playing until everyone had "Bingo!".
After dinner it was time for cake, coffee, and tea. We had marsipan cake as well as "Verden Beste" cake made by Ingunn. Delicious!
We had a photo session to get a new family photo. Some patience was needed due to the number of paparazzi and some technical problems
and the odd phone call.
We are now pleased to report that the family portraits on Mamma and Daddy's wall in their livingroom
have been updated. The more or less tired photos from the 1990s have been replaced.

Other Fun Activities
As usual, plenty of time was spent on using cameras, computers, phones, TVs, and iPads. At one point there was so many iPads in
the room that we got terribly confused...
setting up new ones, referring to old ones, and using other items such as computers and mobile phones to troubleshoot problems.

Bjørnar gave Olav a ride on the 6-wheeler to go and check that a friend's cows were all healthy and still safely in their field. And
we drove up to Reistøylsbua to see Adelheid's cabin. They have done a great job in doing the cabin up. We bet they'll use
the cabin lots going forward.
It is always fun to watch others work - particularly when "Ragg" the automated lawn mower is working his way through
Adelheid's garden. He is very clever at staying within the garden confines and not bumping into things (other than
an inattentive Rob).... and then when "Ragg" is tired (out of battery) he returns to his garage to recharge.
Adelheid, Rob, and Hild went for a walk up "gamlevegen" (the old road) to the creek and back. There was urgent need to burn some
calories! As we often do - we also experimented with taking letting the camera take 3 photos in a row. The middle photo is always a
mess while people relocate themselves, so we excluded it here.
Another day we walked in to Voglumtveit with the dogs (Tinka and Bessie). The picture on the left shows the much larger party we had
at Voglumtveit back in 2003. Still - nice to be back! (click here to see photos from back then)
We picked blueberries and cloud berries ("molte"). It isn't easy to spot the cloud berries and in the end there was not enough to fill
a bucket - but plenty for the mouth... Yum!

Bjørnar and Jon made dinner
During our recent Florida-holiday together, Bjørnar and Jon had promised that they would cook us dinner at Rygnestad.
So the time came and without any help or guidance from parents or family members, they made the most delicious pizzas
for us all - from scratch! So many different
types of pizzas we were happy and very full afterwards. There was almost no room for smores... (there is always room
for smores!). The smores were made with Norwegian Freia chocolate hearts and Marie biscuits rather than Hershey's chocolate and
Graham crackers. The Norwegian version is actually a bit nicer - although we are biased.

We had a great time! Olav, Janet, Adelheid, Bjørnar, Gry Hege (in absentia),
Kristin, Alvaro (in absentia), Rob, and Hild.
